no voltage on POE port

Hello

I'm looking for some help and advice on working out how to use my Prosafe GS10TP I purchased it to run 3 unfi Wi-Fi discs they require PoE.

I cannot get the system to power the devices. I know the discs work because I have a single, stand-alone POE and if I connect it after going through the prosafe the disc works fine.

Thank you
Chris

GS110TP?  Not really a "Home Networking > Cable Modems & Routers"
topic, is it?

> [...] unfi Wi-Fi discs [...]

UniFi?  Model?  Power requirements?  And then, what can the
GS110TP(?) provide?

You tell me what should it come under?
That was the only categories on the drop-down list

   Are we talking about a GS10TP or a GS110TP?

> That was the only categories on the drop-down list

Which "the drop-down list" was that?

Knowing nothing, other than that it's not a router, I put "GS110TP"
into the first "Search the Community..." box I found (at:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/NETGEAR-Forum/ct-p/en-netgear), and was
led to places like:

How was this determined?  Did you measure the voltage?

> I cannot get the system to power the devices. [...]

"I cannot" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.

From my brief reading, I gather that PoE is subject to control by the
device administrator.  The "Smart Switch Software Administration Manual"
has a section on "PoE Configuration", for example.

Start at http://netgear.com/support/ , put in your model number,
select Documentation, download the manual(s) of interest, and peruse?

   Still wondering.

Re: no voltage on POE port

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

What I am trying to do is add, a wireless network to my office, workshop and stores. I purchased unifi long-range Wi-Fi discs (picture enclosed) as they require PoE,2017-09-05 15.09.44.jpg2017-09-05 15.09.56.jpg I was recommended the netgear prosafe GS510TP (picture enclosed). I have a cable from my modem into port one. What feeds Internet to the other ports, but I am unable to get the PoE to work for the devices.

I hope that's a bit more clear . Thanks again for your help

It would be more efficient to provide a simple model number than a
picture of anything.

Picure not required, only some accurate model information.  What
happened to the GS10TP or GS110TP?

> I have a cable from my modem into port one.

What "my modem" is might be interesting.  "port one" of what?  The
(uncertain-model) switch?

It shouldn't be this difficult to get an accurate hardware inventory.

Don't worry about it mate,  sarcasm  is something I don't like or appreciate.

I have boxed the piece of **bleep** up and he's going back I  remember back in the 80s this stuff was a piece of **bleep** anyway!!

I rest my case with anyone classing themselves as a expert...

Get a life get out more mate...

And, apparently, don't recognize.  Where was it?

I don't see that either.  Are you reading the right thread?

> Don't worry about it mate, [...]

Done.  I wish you the best of luck with your future attempts to get
useful information without supplying any.
