Aircard 815S in read only mode. need to reset device but don't have password
I have a Netgear Aircard 815S. The device is apparently in READ ONLY mode. I am trying to perform a factory reset.
Through the display, it wont let me reset it. When I tether it to a computer and use the web interface, I am prompted for an administrative password. I tried the default password of "attadmin" (no quotes) and it doesn't work. I also tried the default password listed on the label under the battery. No Go. Finally, I tried the wifi password the displays on the "WiFi" screen on the device. It didn't work either.
HELP!!!! Is there a super secret admin password or some hidden physical reset button for the device? I haven't been able to find anything.

Re: Aircard 815S in read only mode. need to reset device but don't have password
FYI. I spent over an hour on the phone with AT&T support (since it is an AT&T hotspot) and they couldnt help. Then I spent over an hour ON HOLD with Netgear before I finally gave up.

Hello @Isman510,
Please use the link below and go to page 93. Page 93 explains how to perform a factory reset from the unit itself.

Re: Aircard 815S in read only mode. need to reset device but don't have password
Christian,
Thanks for the recommendation, but it doesn't work. I already tried that and it is requiring a password that I don't have.
The problem stems from it being in READ ONLY mode.
