Firmware Update Error
Hi All
i currnetly have Telstra Nighthawk M1 (MR1100) running EE sim in the UK.
It currently has firmware NTG9X50C_10.12.02.01 which is old so when i click firmware update on the web page just stays at checking.
When i try the check update using the Netgear Mobile App i get error message saying Update Error.
any ideas on how i can get the firmware updated, anyway to force check or force upload firmware to device. How cani get this fixed.
Thanks

Re: Firmware Update Error
not really much to change, the user name and password is correct, the APN name is correct and nothing else to use and the authenication is set to PAP.
either Netgear or somone along the line is blocking updates

Re: Firmware Update Error
It seems that the firmware and software GUI may be customised for the carrier/country. So when your M1 tries to update itself from the UK looking for Telstra-customised firmware, the host (whether that's Netgear or Telstra) may reject the attempted access from another country. This is just a guess.

Re: Firmware Update Error
i suspect if that is the case then perhaps a Telstra Sim in the UK i.e Roaming might work problem is actually getting one and having the SIM activated
