Re: LBR20 how to use as without sim card
You should be able to log in via a web browser to set it up. I know it has a WAN port so should accept a different WAN connection than sim. The manual on how to do so is here:

Re: LBR20 how to use as without sim card
I have tried and tried to log in. I cannot get the router to allow me into the system. I’ve tried the Orbi App on my iPhone and the webpage access. The web page access keeps trying to log me into my current wireless router, Any thoughts on how to work around this?

Re: LBR20 how to use as without sim card
Disconnect it from the current router. If you're connecting the LBR20 to another router, the LBR20 should be in AP mode (if it has that option) or the other router in passthrough mode.
Maybe going over what you're exact setup would help figure out what you're trying to do

Re: LBR20 how to use as without sim card
Thanks for your help, and question. I will elaborate a little more.
I originally bought the LBR20 to use with a Verison SIM card, to provide internet, in a location where I had no access to other internet sources. I used the Orbi App to set this up, and it worked well. Eventually, I was able to get internet via fiber optic to the location. Once the fiber ws up and running, I installed an Orbi Mesh system, again using the Orbi App, at that location.
I then returned the SIM card and stored the LBR20. The other day, my wireless router at a second location failed, and the internet provider loaned me a wireless router until I could get the LBR20 set up.
So, I got the Orbi LBR20 out of storage and wanted to set it up to work as a wireless router, as I have DSL at this second location, with a rental wireless router, I attempted to use the Orbi App to access the router, but the Orbi App would not recognize it. The App kept opening the mesh system, which is remote to me. The Orbi App would not recognize the QR code on the bottom of the router, and I could not get the app to open the LBR20 in any way. I tired connecting it to my laptop via a cable, and opening it that way, but every time i tried, the IP address bypassed the Orbi and went to the loaner wireless router.
I decided to reset the LBR20. I followed the instruction for that procedure. But still no success.
I don’t understand why the App won’t recognize the LBR20?
My goal is to use this LBR20 as a wireless router on the current DSL modem. I just need to know how to access it, and then change the port to the correct function.
Hope that’s a better explanation.
