NightHawk M2 how to obtain a good signal.

In 2020 I purchased a house in outback Queensland Australia and because it didn't come with an internet connection Telstra recommended a NetGear NightHawk M2 MR2100.

It's been an okay system and over the last month the signal is getting really bad and most days it takes hours to log on and I've had enough and had even considered looking for a better WiFi internet service provider.

Wondering is there a simple fix to my issue, maybe an antenna?

The house has a NBNCo setup internally and has an NBNCo satellite disk on the roof.

I use the NightHawk M2 MR2100 via a cord connected to the desktop computer and am wondering would it be possible to connect the router to the NBNCo setup and get a much better signal.
