Nighthawk M1 Uses

Hey all,

We've recently moved house.

At our old place the only way to have internet was to go through Telstra and setup a plan with a Nighthawk. It's done us great! Now we're in our new house we were eligable for a lot more so have gone with a proper modem setup, cancelled our Nighthawk plan with Telstra but have paid for the device.

My question is - is there any other uses for my Nighthawk now I've stopped the plan? Could I load it with a prepaid sim and use it on my way to uni? Can it boost a wifi connection in rooms that have slow internet? 

Just want to explore all my options with it before looking at selling.

You might need to check with Telstra if that M1 unit was unlocked so you can then insert any sim card you like.
