Nighthawk M6 MR6500 VOIP SIP ALG Dynamic DNS
VOIP does not work using the Nighthawk M6 MR6500 over Telstra 4G.
1st issue is with SIP ALG.
I called my VOIP provider, they said I needed to disable SIP ALG.
How do I do this? There is not a setting in the WebUI that I can see. Firmware Version NTGX65_10.01.38.00.
2nd issue is with IP address and Dynamic DNS.
I need to have Telstra activate data code GPTEXB3 to the SIM. After this code has been added, I should be able to connect the Nighthawk M6 to the APN “telstra.extranet” to get assigned a public IP address. Then, to resolve the issue of the IP address changing each time the router connects to the Telstra network I need to configure Dynamic DNS. BUT, the Nighthawk M6 does not have a menu for Dynamic DNS.
How do I configure Dynamic DNS on the Nighthawk M6?

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

The User Manual in the download section for my device does not have any information about my two queries:
- How to disable SIP ALG
- How to configure Dynamic DNS
It would appear that the device does not have this capability.
Instead, it would seem that the best solution would be to use a VPN to get my VOIP phone working over 4G LTE.
