The setup says it is not compatible. They are both Netgear Nighthawk devices so I don't understand that. This is one of the new Dish Genesis 5G hotspots. I'm on the latest firmware version. Ive got the internet cable plugged into the hotspot and the main Mesh box. The light turns white and flashes but then goes to a solid red (orange).
Im not the most tech savvy guy so be nice.

Re: Trying to connect Nighthawk Mesh MR60 to Nighthawk hotspot MR6400
Thats because they are NOT compatible.
You could only use the MR60 in AP mode ethernet connected to the MR6400 is all.

Re: Trying to connect Nighthawk Mesh MR60 to Nighthawk hotspot MR6400
Well Crap! So I need to have a mesh network in order for this hotspot to be usable at my home. What mesh systems will work? I currently have cable internet with EERO mesh system (1 router and 2 sats) that works fine. It's leased and I'm wanting to get away from cable internet and go with this Dish Genesis 5g hotspot.

Re: Trying to connect Nighthawk Mesh MR60 to Nighthawk hotspot MR6400
Not sure if this hotspot can disable it's wifi radios at all or can be used in a modem only configuration. If thats possible you could use any wifi mesh system with the MR6400, however I don't have any experiences when it comes to these model units. If you can get it into a modem only mode or shut off it's wifi radios, then it's possible to use a wiif mesh system in AP mode with this unit.
I would refer you to the user manual on any operation modes the MR6400 may have and or see if the wifi radios can be turned off.

👍
You'll still need to configure AP mode on that system as well to connect to the MR6400.
