netgear data report and time remaining inaccurate

The main screen on my dongle shows how much data I have used and the number of days remaining.
The nighthawk app doesn't recognise this model of dongle.
I have just (today) receieved my monthly 50GB of data, but the dongle shows "0.01GB of oGb used - 18 days left"
Can someone please explain this?

Thanks Bianca... the problem is now solved. I had a faulty dongle. The new one works just fine.
