port ethernet Nighthawk M5 5G MR5200

Hi,

it seems that the ethernet port on this router only provides Internet to the 5G router.
Is it possible to do the opposite, i.e. have the 5G router provide Internet to a network via this Ethernet port?
We haven't been able to do this.

Ty in advance !

What are you connecting it to?

You can usually put it in passthrough mode if you're connecting another router to it.

there's a user manual here: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/mr5200

Re: port ethernet Nighthawk M5 5G MR5200

Could you please detail what you would like to achieve?

1. You can connect a WiFi router or Mesh System to the ethernet port. M5 will provide the 5G data to your WiFi router or Mesh system

2. You can connect the ethernet port of M5 to the modem of your home network and enable ethernet offloading. The data will go through your home internet. If your home internet is down, the M5 will continue to provide the data connection to its' clients using 5G data.

Thanks

Re: port ethernet Nighthawk M5 5G MR5200

Hi,

We would like to connect the M5 ethernet port to a WAN port on a router / Firewall.

In any cases only the M5 will provide the Internet.

On the LAN port of the router / firewall are connected a few computers with no Wifi card, only ethernet cards

And we would like that this computers will receive the internet from the M5

Best Rgds
