After selecting Wireless Access Point - D7000

I changed me Router to Wireless Access Point and now I can not access that router. If I try it just tells me there is not internet access. How can I login to this router again to change the setting? Currently it's not picking up the internet.

The reason why I changed it was because I'm struggling to get my wireless printer connected to the router so I can access it through the router.

Easiest/fastest way? Just reset it and start over.

When you put it in AP mode, the main router is handing out the IP address for the D7000. If you didn't set the IP address of the D7000 as something within the main router's lan ip range, you're going to struggle to access it. You can check your main router's attached devices page to see if it was set correctly and if its there. If it is, awesome, use that to access it.  You can always try routerlogin.com and see if it works. doubt it but stranger things have happened.

If it isn't there, I would just reset it and start over as finding it can be a challenge.

Next time, set the Lan IP address within the range of your main router and reserve that address or set it as a static address. it'll make it easier for next time.

In terms of your printer, make sure that has as static address or a reservered address with your main router. that'll make accessing it and using it easier in the future as well.

"D7000[v1]" or "D7000v2"?  Look at the product label.  Firmware
version?

Why?  Is there some actual problem which you were trying to solve?

To what is the D7000[vX] connected?  What is your main router?  Or
was the D7000[vX] your main/only router?

> [...] and now I can not access that router. [...]

"can not" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.

> [...] If I try [...]

   "try" _what_, exactly?

> [...] it just tells me there is not internet access. [...]

Are you getting some actual error message from something?  What from
what?

When configured as a wireless access point, the D7000[vX] will have a
non-default LAN IP address, either a dynamic address supplied by the
(DHCP server in the) main router ("Get dynamically from existing
router"), or else a static address which you specify ("Use fixed IP
Address (not recommended)").  In the latter case, you'd know which
address you gave it.  In the former case, you'd need to ask the main
router which address it supplied, typically available from some kind of
"Attached Devices" or "DHCP Clients" report.

If your computer/device is connected to the D7000[vX]-as-WAP, and the
D7000[vX]-as-WAP is connected to some full-function router, then a
"routerlogin" name should work.  Otherwise, it should respond at its new
LAN IP address (again, assuming that it's connected to some normal
router).

I don't know what that means.  See "not a useful problem
description", above.

If the D7000[vX] was your main/only router, then a settings reset
should return it to router mode.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Look for "Factory
Settings".
