D6300 connection to nbn
We have just got the nbn connected to our home and we are unsure if we can use the D6300 router. Our setup in the neighbour hood is fibre to the Node then copper to the home. Can someone please let me know how to setup our router to get internet. Thanks in advance

Hello Sparky01
You will have to do 1 of 2 things you will have to find the setting in the NBN modem for a bridge mode and then just plug the modem into the D6300 Wan port or you can use the D6300 as a Access point by turning that feature on in the settings by going to Advanced-Advanced Setup-Wireless settings-then click use other operation mode enable AP Mode

NBN Fibre to Street - Copper cable to unit
Does changing D6300 to AP Mode reduce any functionality - dual band capability, "expected" increase in line speed from NBN or any other gotcha's ?

Wharf
AP mode does not effect the speeds of the wireless or the router it just disables the router part that is handled by your other modem.
