D7000 2.4GHz wifi stopped working
Yesterday without making any changes, all four of my 2.4GHz wifi devices dropped off my network. 5GHz working fine.
Channel was set to "Auto" and Mode "Up to 600 Mbps".
I've tried:
1. Updating firmware to 1.0.1.44.
2, Factory reset.
3. Manual reconfigure.
Using a wifi analyzer app, I found that the router will only produce a 2.4GHz wifi signal if I set the channel to "01" and mode to "Up to 289 Mbps".
I actually sat there and tested channels 1-13 + Auto for all three modes "Up to 54 Mbps", "Up to 289 Mbps" and "Up to 600 Mbps".
It's been more than 90 days since I bought it so I can't even contact Netgear support without paying them. What a joke.

Re: D7000 2.4GHz wifi stopped working
Hello Bobjane
If the modem has failed it and still under hardware warranty you will have to contact support via phone to have it fixed.

Re: D7000 2.4GHz wifi stopped working
Thanks Darren but I'm now free of Netgear products and happier for it.
Frankly I don't know you get away with such appalling firmware and after sales support.
