D7000 remote access / genie remote access option missing
Trying to setup remote access on NETGEAR d7000.
Enabled remote access via web browser interface.
It seems I can't find the remote login option on genie app both on iOS and android as it is shown on the help pages.
There is only an option to enter manualy an ip.

Re: D7000 remote access / genie remote access option missing
Remote Management is using HTTPs access.
Remote Genie is using the Genie software. I check their KB and it does not include D7000 on the list.

Re: D7000 remote access / genie remote access option missing
The issues isnt the D7000, its the mobile app. The Android app does not have a Remote Access button on it.
I have the R7000 router and directions state to click on Remote Access.
But the button is not there. I have remote access enabled and can do it from the Desktop App no problem from another IP. The App is the problem.

Hello bauer52x
on the android app in the top left corner you should be able to click login then you can select remote access or if you are connected to the network.

Re: D7000 remote access / genie remote access option missing
Fixed, as you MUST connect the android to the local Wifi FIRST. Once your on the Wifi, the option comes up, then stays there when you leave the Wifi network and remote works. Very odd how it does it. But it does work.
For anyone else, connect to NetGear WIFIspecifically then the option will be there
