Re: How would i go about using a netgear 7550 as a second router?
ok i hooked up the ethernet cable from lan port to lan port and hooked my computer to the netgear 7550 and have internet access! I have a problem though, my reolink nvr camera system is hooked up to the 7550 and will not connect, and when i type the ip address of the 7550 i get an error that the connection was reset, before when i typed the ip address it took me straight to the 7550s configuration page where i could log in and mess around with the settings, now: nothing. What am i missing?

Netgear doesn't support it. Have you found a User Manual for it?

Which?

Not the whole job.

_Which_ "the ip address"?

A few things. See, for example:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1463500
That's written for a Netgear C6300-as-WAP, but the steps are about the
same for any other router (any make/model) which lacks a one-step WAP
option.
If the 7550 _does_ have a one-step WAP option, then I'd advise trying
that first.
Note that that scheme leaves the WAN/Internet port on the
router-as-WAP unconnected. (A WAP is all-LAN. A model with the
one-step WAP option effectively reconfigures its WAN/Internet port as
another LAN port. Without the one-step WAP option, you need to use only
the LAN ports.)
