Netgear Nighthawk D8500 > 2.4Ghz Wifi dropping out but 5Ghz and Wired OK
Hi Guys,
Hope all is well.
I have a Netgear NightHawk D8500, Firmware Version V1.0.3.39_1.0.1.
I constantly loose 2.4Ghz wifi and it requires a reboot to get back up, When this happens the Wired & 5Ghz continues to work fine.
Has anyone experienced this problem or is it a known issue?
Cheers Rob.

Did you reset the router to factory settings after the firmware flash?
New firmware sometimes introduces changes that are not compatible with the old configuration.
So while it isn't guaranteed to fix problems a factory reset is the first thing to try if you have issues with new firmware.
The latest firmware for many devices was designed to handle problems with 2.4 GHz, caused by some sloppy coding by Google for Chromecasts and Android. If you own any of those devices, you like to ensure that they are as up to date as you can get them.
