No internet connection via WiFi

Hello, hope someone can help me:

Internet connection is no problem with the PC connected directly to the router. However via a Wifi connection I cannot get any internet connection to a laptop with Wifi security enabled. With no Wifi security enabled no problems. With any sort of security enabled, the laptop makes a strong Wifi connection but no internet.

I've tried all the available security options to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated. I only bought this two weeks ago and I cannot find the receipt to return this.

I would clear save wireless networks from your laptop and make a new connection to the router also may want to try and rename the SSID in case the laptop is saving some strange settings causing it to get not internet.
