TCP/IP SYN+FIN Packet Filtering Weakness
The card transaction company has failed my DGN3700 router in it's security check saying we have a TCP/IP SYN+FIN Packet Filtering Weakness, to fix this it says contact vendor for a patch, I tried that with no luck, does anyone know where I can get such a patch from please?

Re: TCP/IP SYN+FIN Packet Filtering Weakness
Hi @TafThomas,
Welcome to the community!
The DGND3700 is already among the devices under EOL (End of Life) status which may end up not getting any further firmware updates/patches.

Re: TCP/IP SYN+FIN Packet Filtering Weakness
I have the same problem with the R6400 and R6400v2. Is there a list of netgear routers that doesn't have this problem?

Re: TCP/IP SYN+FIN Packet Filtering Weakness
Thank you DexterJB, I feared that may be the case. It is strange though that I re-did the company's security test and it passed this time.

Re: TCP/IP SYN+FIN Packet Filtering Weakness
Hi Oneway, if it's a security test for a card transaction company as mine was, I re-took the test and it passed, got no explanation as to why it failed then passed but at least we comply now, I'd try that first before spending any money.
