Wan Port Configuration

I would like to use the Wan port of the D6400 to connect to an external router (Cisco 877) that is connected to the internet. I would like to give the Wan Port a static ip address of the subnet shared by the Cisco. The Lan/Wifi client of the D6400 should get an ip address of another subnet whose D6400 act as dhcp server. Is it possible and how to accomplish at this network architecture ? How can I configure the D6400 to work in this environment ?
Thank you very much for your help.

Regards.

Choose your different LAN subnet there.

Connect an Ethernet cable from the Cisco LAN to the D6400
WAN/Internet port.  Essentially, you'd be doing the "Set Up Your Modem
Router for Cable or Fiber Service" section of the User Manual, with the
Cisco modem+router acting as the "cable or fiber modem".

Depending on how the Cisco 877 is configured, devices on the inner
(D6400) network might be subject to the usual ("double NAT") problems
for incoming/server connections.  But, for outgoing/client connections,
it may not matter.

Visit http://www.netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and
look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.
