Can't login to R6220 router after firmware update 10 days ago

I installed a firmware update about 10 days ago for my router, and now it won't let me login. I understand I need to do a factory reset, but how do I do that if I can't log in to my router? Concerned about the hacking vulnerabilities & want to change my password, etc.

I was able to do a factory reset using the reset button in the back, and now I'm all set. Thanks anyway!

What happens when you try? "won't let me" is not a useful problem
description. It does not say what you did. It does not say what
happened when you did it. As usual, showing actual actions with their
actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful
than vague descriptions or interpretations.

Perhaps.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "Factory Default
Settings".

If I try logging in through the Genie, entering "admin" as user and "password" as password (which I know I left as the default), I get a message that says "Login failed. Please check the password." If I try to log in through http://www.routerlogin.net, I get a new screen that says 401 Unauthorized
Access to this resource is denied, your client has not supplied the correct authentication.

Which "the Genie"? Ever helpful, Netgear uses the name "Genie"
for more than one thing. Netgear routers have a web-browser interface
called "Genie", and Netgear offers application programs for various
computers/pads/phones, which are also called "Genie".

Did you again try "admin" and "password", or did your web browser
fill in the credentials for you, or what?

Did you?

Re: Can't login to R6220 router after firmware update 10 days ago
I registered a case and called Netgear India Support , they first again asked me to ping the static Ip gateway , but as I was not getting a response they suggested a RMA.
THAT SHOULD HAVE SOLVED MY PROBLEM , but then the real hassle started they said they are using a new backend Tool , recently and due to which they can't process my RMA , that was 4 days ago.
I spoke to the supervisor Mr Arthur De Cruz , he too was unable to help.
Then today I again called them and they have still not been able to resolve their issue...and now the Supervisor was unable to talk even after 15 min hold.
I wonder what the real issue is.?
