Hello, all,
I just installed my new Nighthawk X4S router. Downloaded the latest formware update in the process. It is connected to a Motorola MB7420 cable modem for access to Comcast. Both of these deveices are gigabit connection capable. Is there a way on the Nighthawk to initiate gigabit speed on the WAN connection to the modem? Any insight would be much appreciated!

Log into your X4S and click on Show Statistics in the Advanced tab. If the status of the WAN port shows 1000M/Full, then you are golden. Otherwise, check your cable; cables can go bad.
