> [...] Netgear N300
"N300" is a speed, not a model number. Ever helpful, Netgear
product packaging emphasizes speeds like "Nxxx", but that's not the
model identifier. Look at the product label.

By whom? Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual)
model number, and look for Documentation. Get something like a Product
Data Sheet, and read the fine print. Expect to find a disclaimer like
the following:
Maximum wireless signal rate derived from IEEE standard 802.11
specifications. Actual data throughput and wireless coverage will
vary. Network conditions and environmental factors, including
volume of network traffic, interference, and building construction
may lower actual data throughput and wireless coverage. [...]
> [...] it's only reaching at 50. [...]
When you do what? You can connect an old, lame client device to the
fastest router in the world, and still get a slow connection.
> [...] What can I do?
If your router is the bottleneck, then a faster router might help.
