No internet connection

I’ve followed all the steps on the app and my router doesn’t seem to connect to the internet my isp is spectrum and my nighthawk router keeps flashing orange for the internet port, I was wondering if there’s anyone that can help me with this issue I would appreciate it

1. what modem/gateway is the router connecting to? 

2. is this a new install? for the modem or router? 

3. what firmware is on the router?

This is a new install for the router and I’m not sure what firmware it’s on but hopefully this image helps on what modem it’s connecting to

the label doesn't have a model number on it. 

Was the modem activated? 
if so, try this. 

Disconnect everything from both modem and router (even coax from modem).

Power them both off and leave them for 5 minutes. 

Reconnect coax back to the modem and power it on. 

give it a couple minutes to fully boot. 

connect lan cable from modem to wan port on router. 

boot up router and give it a couple minutes to fully boot. 

then try setup on the router. 

 

If it fails, tell me where in the process it fails.

As I booted the router on everything turned white except the internet port

did you go through setup on the router? 
That just indicates the router detected a connection to the modem but it isn't setup

Yes I did the whole setup and nothing happened everything stayed the same

What actual model modem is it? 
Have you replaced the cable from router---modem?
Is the modem provisioned by your ISP and active? 

If the netgear is new, you should have the 90 days of free support. 

To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days.
