ProSafe M5300 28G Factory Reset
Hi guys,
I have a Prosafe M5300 28G and I cannot login by IP address. How can I do a factory reset? Press and hold "Reset" or how?
I've found that you can do it from the web interface, but I don't have access to that anymore. After reset, do I need a USB cable to do the initial IP setup?

Hi,
Fully managed switches, such as yours, can only be factory reset from:
1. The GUI
or
2. The CLI (via console)
The "Reset" button is just a reboot so it won't do much. If you do not know the IP of the switch, i.e. you cannot get to the GUI - then you need to acquire a console cable.Resetting the switch is typically done from the boot menu.

Also,
After the reset, you need to setup the switch with an IP address, etc.
