XS716T and UWB-XG

Anyone know if a Netgear XS16T will power a Unifi BaseStationXG (UWB-XG)? I don't think the XS716T has the 802.3bt standard and the UWB-XG calls for it. On the other hand, the wattage output minimum on the XS716T is 45.3w (source: product datasheet) and the maximum needed for the UWB-XG is 31w (source: Quick Start Guide). Thoughts?

802.3bt is a PoE standard. While the XS716T (or for sake any XS7xxT and XS7xxE switch model) does certainly support your new AP, it's not PoE(++) switch. It just requires using the UWB-XG Gigabit PoE++ adapter 50V DC, 1.2A (Included with the UWB-XG from what I understand, I -guess- this is an in-line power injector) you can install near to the switch, or near to the AP.

Re: XS716T and UWB-XG
Hello @HolmesNetworks,
What you need is a switch that has PoE, specifically PoE ++ 802.3bt. The XS716T does not support PoE. The 45.3 W in the datasheet is the minimum power consumption of the XS716T.

Re: XS716T and UWB-XG
Moderators, feel free to delete this thread. We meant to ask this of another switch and have posted that topic here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Managed-Switches/M4300-52G-PoE-and-UWB-XG/m-p/2391336#M14345
Thank you.
