We bought a Netgear support plan.  Total scam!!!   We gave them access to our computer and the next night they got into our email and starting sending various documents. 

Really shameful.  Do not use Netgear support!!

if you googled netgear support you probably did get a 3rd party scam site. They're quite rampant when people are googling support sites.

The way you go about getting support is by going to the top on here and clicking mynetgear. you register an account and then your device. From there you can contact support.

If you went off google your more than likely did get a scam site and not netgear support. 

Unfortunately netgear can't help if you yourself contacted a 3rd party company.
