Network Map Router Authentication Fail

When I use the Genie App to sign in from an iPhone, all the functions work except the Network App, it spins a while and then I get a message "Router authentication failed".

1. Have you tried uninstalling an re-installing the app?

2. Does it behave the same way with your other devices?

3. What is the model number and firmware version of your router?

I get the same exact thing on my iOS devices.  It has never worked.  Please fix.

3. What version of the NETGEAR Genie app do you have installed?

1) ios 8.4.1

2) Router is C6300 Firmware V1.02.20

3) Genie App is 2.4.18

4) I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no success.

 

The app works fine on my Kindle Fire HD

The NETGEAR Genie iOS app may have some bugs and has already been reported. Rest assured this is already being worked on. Please make sure to keep it up to date for possible fixes.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and rebooting my iPhone 5S. It acts the same on my husbands iPhone too, works if directly connected to the wifi, but not remote. The app on my Desktop works fine.  The router is a R7000 and the firmware is V1.0.4.30. I can sign in remotely and select the router, and then I can use the other features, just not the Network Map... which previously allowed me to control devices of kids when I am not home.

Hi Dexter,

How are you going with fixing the iOS NETGEAR Genie app? 

I have just downloaded the app after buying a new NETGEAR Modem Router and found that the network map does load giving me the same "Router authentication failed" error like the other users.

Yes the app is up to date and I have the latest iOS on the device.

Can you please advise.

Please fix.  The Genie App was a big seller for me on buying Netgear Gateway.

My Netgear device is the C-6300 Gateway with the latest firmware. 

The App is the latest iOS version, Version 2.4.22

This does persist on all iOS devices.

It works fine on my Kindles Fire HD.

Add me to this list. Have yet to be able to use this app for anything. Will be forced to return soon as it was one of the reasons I chose this router. Is there a fix forthcoming?
