Nighthawk app says D7800 is not supported. Mobile Genie app says D7800 needs Nighthawk app

Netgear, please lift your game. Nighthawk doesn't support Nighhawk X43 AC2600 (D7800). Genie app says Nighthawk is required. What am I to do???? Expect much much better from a brand such as yours.
