Rationale for Closing Genie App Pushing Nighthawk App?
Beyond me what "logic" the Netger Consumer BU does follow here.
The Genie App is core for various services and features - like the Live Parental Control (as legacy and limited functionality it is) or for the true Remote Access. Features which don't exist on Nighthawk App. And there is no Nighthawk App for Windows or macOS, too. And how the Nighthawk App should be applicable for Orbi Remote access. And and and.

That's how the light gets in." Leoard Cohen - Anthem

Re: Rationale for Closing Genie App Pushing Nighthawk App?
Hi @schumaku – Don’t worry. We’re not getting rid of the Genie App as it provides good functionality and many of our customers still enjoy using it. However, moving forward, we’ll be adding tons of new features and improved functionality to the newer Nighthawk and Orbi Apps. So, stay tuned for more!

Re: Rationale for Closing Genie App Pushing Nighthawk App?
So will we see the same issues well known from Genie soon moved over to the Nightawk App?
Remote access from Android not showing any other connected devices?
Windows showing local attached devices (on a complente non-Netgear consumer router garbage network) in the Network Map when connected remotely?
TIme to re-open the Genie forum .... otherwise the "new" Nightawk App will be flooded from all the Genie issues.
