ReadyShare not allowing access to my WD drive since I ejected the drive
I have a WD terabyte drive and used the ReadyShare feature, I tried to eject the drive from the readyshare application and also from my Macbook. Wasn't sure if it had been ejected or not, I unplugged the drive from my router and tried to use in my Macbook, drive only flashed with a fast blinking. Plugged the drive back into the router and was able to access files. I then ejected the drive from the router and tried on Macbook again, same thing, fast blinking on HD and will not connect to either the router or Macbook. I think there is something wrong in the ReadyShare application that is blocking the MAC Address on the HD from connecting.
Thanks!

Re: ReadyShare not allowing access to my WD drive since I ejected the drive
Hi @Airpro360,
1. You mentioned "HD and will not connect to either the router or Macbook". So, is the hard drive inaccessible on both the router and directly to the computer or is it just when connected to the computer?
2. What is the file format of the hard drive?
3. Have you tried connecting the hard drive to another computer?
4. What is the model number and firmware version of the router?

Re: ReadyShare not allowing access to my WD drive since I ejected the drive
I somehow finally ejected the external drive from the router. Yes, fortunately through the community. I find it sad that Netgear will only support their routers for 3 months . I’m sure that will be a deciding factor when purchasing my next set of routers and networking equipment.

Hi @pileo,
1. What is the model number and firmware version of your device?
2. What is the model number and capacity of your hard drive?
3. Can the hard drive still be detected when connected to the router?
4. What is the file format of the hard drive?
5. Can the drive be detected when connected to a Windows PC?
