Re: not being able to disable devices through the nighthawk app
Too little detail for anyone to provide an informed reply.
Among other possible questions:
Which Nighthawk app? (iOS or Android?)
Which app version?
Firmware version on the R6700? (Firmware and app features are linked.)
Connected how? (Local wifi? Anywhere Access?)

You have to have the right firmware on a device for features to work in the NIghthawk app.

That's not firmware for the original R6700.
Is there a "V" number after the R6700 on the label?

Poor attention to detail at the Netgear end. That drop-down database is hopeless.
The V number is best included in the text, especially when talking about firmware.
The iOS app has caused some grief in recent versions. But you don't seem to have the latest version, 2.10.5.17.
Have you tried the usual "remove then reinstall" trick? It is something that Netgear's minders suggest even though there is never any explanation as to what is going on.
