Extend wifi in two different directions from one router. Model EX6120

I am trying to extend our wifi in two different directions in a large home, where in both places the wifi does not reach.  I set up one wifi extender, and it works to extend the wifi into one of the places.  But as I try to set up the second extender in the same way I seem to come upon problems.  Is it possible to use 2 wifi extenders off of one router?  As I set up the second one, I unplugged the first extender so as to not pick up the wifi through that extender.  Then I plugged in extender #2 and began the process.  I cannot seem to connect to the wifi through that extender.  The network through the extender does show up as an option to connenct to (AAM_2GEXT & AAM_5GEXT). But I cannot seem to connect to it, I put in the normal wifi password for the main wifi, as I did for extender #1, but it says that I have a bad password.  What password would I put in, to be able to log in through extender #2 and so access the mywifiext.net to set up the extender #2?

    Hello sschueller

I would suggest to try and factory reset the 2nd extender and try the setup again and if that is not working you could try the wps method of connecting it to the router.

      Hi Thank you,

I did try to do the factory reset button.  But that method still had the same results as the first try.  And then our router does not have a wps button, so I was not able to try that method.  Could this particular extender be faulty, as the other one works, but not this one? Or is the problem that one cannot use 2 extenders from the same router to extend in 2 different directions?
