WN3000RPv3 when configured, grants me no internet access
With my wifi extender, I reset the it to its factory default twice and upon configuration, it still does not give me internet access when configure (all lights would be on and green)
Update #1: after messing around with it a little bit more, and looking through the forums, i say this:
1. It does connect to the internet when a cord is directly connected between the extender and the router, but I get nothing upon disconnecting it when trying to plug it (out of range from the cord)
2. A moderator said, about another product, it's a two part equation (router to extender and extender to device), so I think my trouble is the first part

Hello John WIck Jr
Have you tried both methods to connect it to the router WPS and manual setup? Are you using WPA2 security on the router?

Yes sir, I have tried both methods. The security is WPA.
I would appreciate it if you could walk me through a set up, so that I could find out if there was something that i did that was wrong.

Hi
I have a similar problem with my WIFI extender although only when I turn on Access Control on the router (it is a Netgear CG3000v2 as supplied by Optus Australia). I have added the MAC address for the extender to the Access Control list in the router. All other devices connect OK with Access Control turned on. Without Access Control, the extender works OK.
The extender has firmware version V1.0.2.24. The router has V2.08.07. I'm running Windows 10 Home.
Cheers
Roger
- Hi. I'm having exactly the same problem! I'm not really technically savvy so any help would be great! Thanks

Have you tried to reboot your modem/router and the extender that seemed to fix the issue for Ellajferguson.

Out of curiosity, did the user have the same model?
After factory resetting, and setting up the extender again, I unplugged the modem for at least a minute, and to upon pluggin it back in, I still wasn't granted internet access.
- Hi, yes I do have the same model. I quite often have to reboot it now, but it does seem to do the trick...for now anyway!
