Downgrading to older firmware

Hi all,

Been looking through the boards for step by step instructions to downgrade from the Open beta to the last stable firmware as the QoS issues are really starting to cause me issues.

If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Hello,

You can download the latest stable firmware here (Firmware Version 2.3.2.56) :

https://www.netgear.com/support/product/XR500.aspx#download

Then in the left panel on the web administation: 

Setting -> Administration -> firmware update

Click browse and the upload the downloded firmware et choose yes when the popup advertissement (downgrading) appear.

It's better to reset all the configuration after the flash :

Setting -> Administration -> backup settings : Erase

Pretty sure I tried this last time and it didn't work!

Give it another try, those directions are spot on and will work. There may have been a hiccup.
