Can you enable resolution of local device hostnames as pretty much all routers support it.

I was informed its a possible bug/oversight.

Been waiting awhile for some news and I appreciate how buzy everyone has been but I really don't want to run a seperate DNS/DHCP solution for something this trivial.

Right now only NETBIOS names properly resolve.

Not sure if this only affects the XR700.

wanted to follow up with some more stuff about dns.

XR700 has problems with IPv6 DNS requests.

Would want to suggest a feature aswell.

Being able to override the DHCP dns servers.

Right now you can only change the DNS that the router will use but it would be nice if you can override the ones sent to clients over DHCP.

Also DNS over TLS would be a nice addition.

Also, any idea when the next update for XR700 will be out. I know its hard to say but are we talking months or weeks etc?

I don't have an estimate on that, it was the last update to come out for all the routers I believe so I don't think it will be before the others.
