Seeing on how it’s been in beta for almost a year. Is there any planned release date for it to be out of beta? And how stable is the current beta? Just got the xr500 in the mail today. Had a R7000 and decided it was time to upgrade to get ready for fiber. And that’s why I got this one (Not relevant but decided to share)
We don't have an ETA for it yet, but we're working hard on it.
Netgear and ourselves need to work out a couple of small bugs before we can call it the full release, keep an eye on the forum and we'll post it here as soon as we can.

Take It back mate, have had nothing but issues with the xr500 since I got it, went back to my 8yr old modem router which does a better job, with the old firmware and beta still nothings been fixed in 2 yrs. Good luck.
