Before i buy XR500
Hi all and thanks inadvance.
I'm looking to get the XR500, my ISP is sky and i want to replace there er110 sky hub. has the XR500 got a modem capable of connecting to there mer, I sure I've seen it say it can yet not sure as think this is just a router?
next is the cable. my socket is rj45 yet my hub is rj11 will i need rj45 to rj45?

The XR500 is a router only. No modem.
Contact the ISP to see what is supported and is needed for use with there system and if the XR can be added.
XR series routers required a RJ45 input from a modem or wall jack that has isp services over RJ45 connections.

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem.
