Updated the firmware on what Netgear device? And from what firmware version to what version?
And where do you see the message buried in your subject?

That's not a Netgear firmware number. Maybe it is a Duma thing.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Nighthawk Pro Gaming Routers - NETGEAR Communities
Gaming routers have their own DumaOS operating system that is nothing like the one on Netgear's standard routers.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
That's why it always helps to provide as much detail as possible when seeking help.

I have the netgear ax6000 modem upstairs connected to the router.
That's not a Netgear model number.
The only ax6000 "modem" is the CAX80 modem/router.
@Zevas1993 wrote:
When I do the router login it logs me into the modem not the router.
That is probably because you are running two routers on your network.
Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.
This explains some of the other drawbacks.
What is Double NAT? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
Unless you have specific reasons for using two routers – to create two separate networks for example – it is often easier to use just one router and then to set up the second router as a wifi access point. Netgear advises this, as does just about every site you will visit.
If the router is a gaming router, you don't say, then using that as an AP may wipe out its gaming features. You might do better to put the CAX80 into modem only (bridge) mode.

Re: Uncaught TypeError: $(...)[0].getApp is not a function
Manuals are always a good place to start.
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
Check the section in the manual Return the Router to its Factory Default
Settings. Or press the "button" on the back.

This is set up this way for a reason. Upstairs has its own log in, kept separate for a reason, while the downstairs is mine alone.
If you are running two routers on the same network, be prepared for problems. See above.

Re: Uncaught TypeError: $(...)[0].getApp is not a function
I'm having the same issue XR1000 gaming router, I updated from .58 to .64 or whatever the newest version is.
Btw, factory resetting a router every time you update the firmware is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. That's the equivalent of asking a Windows 10 user to reset their PC every month after patch Tuesday. Was a huge mistake to buy this router in the first place, it's complete garbage. In the 18 months that I've owned it, this will be the 4th or 5th time I've had to factory reset it.
To make matters worse, the "backup" feature is completely broken. No matter what changes you make, and when you restore from a backup, it is still the default settings. Again, this thing is complete garbage, shame on you Netgear.

How did you reset from the interface or hardware button? What device/web browser are you using to access?
