I have tried to follow https://kb.netgear.com/000037255/How-do-I-set-up-my-GS808E-Nighthawk-S8000-Gaming-and-Streaming-Swit...
But the newest version of Safari doesn't support this. How can I find the switch IP address using a Mac? I saw the artic le about manually changing all the settings but that looks very complicated. If I have the switch plugged in to a Nighthawk X10 router is there not a place in the router interface to see its IP address? Why is it not easy like it is with a router?
For the IP scanner option...Can you reccomend a Mac IP scanner application?

Hi ae6dx00,
Welcome to NETGEAR community!
As you know the latest Safari won't support Bonjour any more.
So NETGEAR release a new discovery tool for Nighthawk S8000 and other gaming&plus switches.
Please find following link to download it and discovery your S8000 on MAC.
May the solution help you.
Thanks,
Daniel.

Re: Finding switch IP address
Hi ae6dx00,
Actually GS116 is unmanned switch that don't support to access by GUI or discovery.
Otherwise you can search switch from this tool If you mean GS116E or GS116Ev2.
Thanks,
Daniel.
