How can I setup parental controls on the RAX120 router

It seems there is no parental control options in the Nighthawk App for the RAX120. How can I set up parental controls on the RAX120?

Thanks,

Re: How can I setup parental controls on the RAX120 router

There is currently no Parental Control on any Netgear RAX router available.

You can look into https://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/ - there are "ready-made" Family Shield (different name server IP addresses, not the standard OpenDNS ones) available for free - and configure the router accordingly.

Thanks for the info. I tried the OpenDNS FamilyShield dns server addresses on the router and it didn't seem to be blocking adult sites

Thanks,

On it's own it won't ... business as usual, just addign these two addrreses to the router won't make it happen immediately. DNS caches mut be emptied, clients must use either the same or the router for DNS only, ... but hey, we're not OpenDNS support here.

Be aware that when you intend to do more, the OpenDNS updater must be installed on a local system (Mac or Windows) ideally one which is "always on".
