Re: R7960P stops working
I have the same router and the same problem. The router disconnects the internet frequently. I reset it to factory settings, but the next day or shortly after, it cuts the internet again until I reset it to factory settings. Does anybody know how to solve this problem, or do I need a new router?

Re: R7960P stops working
Does the top Internet LED turn AMBER when this happens?
Who is the ISP your connected with?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
Is IPv6 enabled on the router?
As a suggestion, put a usb FAN under the router for additional cooling.

Re: R7960P stops working
So when the router goes out, does this effect both wired and wireless connected devices?
Can you access the routers web page at all when this happens?
How many devices are connected to the router at one time?
What channels are you using on the router?
Any other features enabled on the router like Guest Network?
Try seet a different DNS configuration from ISP Auto detected. Use Cloudfare or Quad9.
Might try the router at a different location like a friend or family's place to see if problem follows.

Might try the router at a different location like a friend or family's place to see if problem follows. I can't' because my current relatives have a little bit of hacker phobia
BUT,
Last month I added a powerline set for to expand, now I cancelled it. I will look, if problem don't come again I will understand guilty that power line set

Re: R7960P stops working
Where did you see Not Connected on the routers web page?
So you added some powerline adapters?
Might check to see if a friend or family member can help you out with this router. If the Not connected is seen for the internet section, possible something at the ISP level, modem or DNS needs to be checked. Hoping someone locally can help you more with that.
