nighthawk mr60 satellites won't connect

My MR60 is at firmware 1.0.6.116. Neither of the two MS60 satellites will connect. They boot up flashing white and go to solid amber. Neither satellite shows in the app. I've read about reflashing the satellites but it doesn't seem to work. I don't even know what version they are. I've done a factory reset on the router with no luck. I can't find a post about how to factory reset the satellite except for pushing the reset button, but that does nothing. Can someone help?

Have you tried hardwiring them into the router? 

Just to see if they'll connect to the router hardwired.

Then you could check firmware status's on the satellites.

Yes, I hardwired them and they wouldn't connect that way either. I got on the phone for a "hardware check" with tech support for two hours and it looks like they are actually going to replace the whole system.
