Re: Cannot reconnect to router after speed upgrade

Two days ago I purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk CAX30 modem router, activated the same day with my provider. Earlier today I upgraded my speeds to 1 gig. Afterwards they advised me to perform a pin hole reset on the modem router to see if the speeds were what they should be. Now I am unable to access the router through the nighthawk app on my phone. After going through the process of setting it up it says “unable to connect to router.” What do I need to do to get this working?
Turn off the phone and set it aside. Use a real computer (either Mac or Windows) to connect to your router via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi SSID and password are on the nameplate of your CAX30. Use a web browser and enter http://routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Do not use https://. The opening screens direct you to use the mobile application which you have determined will not work. Scroll down the page and the fine print should indicate there is a path to proceed when there is no mobile device available. To access the user interface, the username is admin and the password is password. It will prompt you to change the default password. Proceed through the setup script.
You have free 90 days phone support, use it. Do not Google for a support phone number. Dragons and thieves reside there.
