NIGHTHAWK OR ORBI MESH

If you have a smart home with a lot of wifi connected devices (smart speakers, lights, TVs, gaming consoles and pc), would you get a Nighthawk router (ax8 or 12) or an Orbi mesh system?

The house is approximately 280sqm so range is not really an issue, more so connected devices

Not really something that is open to a this/that answer.

Some like one option, others prefer the other.

If you don’t have a range issue/dead spots then a router is probably better than a mesh platform as it allows for much high throughput.
