Netgear RAX120V2 Connection Drops and disconnected devices

Hi,

Recently bought RAX120V2 and I'm experiencing connection drops.

I have Samsung Smartthings Camera and Smartthings compatible led strip connected to device.

They both loose connectivity several times a day and need to restart router after which they work fine.

I was on V1.2.8.40 firmware and installed V1.2.8.43 Beta firmware and have same issue.

Have smartconnect on. Beamforming On and Mu-mimo on.

Already tried resetting router same issue.

What can be done ?

Re: Netgear RAX120V2 Connection Drops and disconnected devices

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

Are you using the yellow WAN port or the Multi Gig port for the connection to the modem?

What channels are you using?

What devices do you have all connected?

Does the Internet LED on top turn AMBER when this happens?

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.

Does the top of the router feel warm or extra warm when this happens?

Re: Netgear RAX120V2 Connection Drops and disconnected devices

Don't know about main router, but other devices work fine and don't get disconnected. Only devices I listed.

Using WAN cable with good quality cable. (No issues here)

For 2.4Ghz Using 11 Channel

For 5.0Ghz Using 36 Channel

I have lots of different devices connected to router: TV, Laptops, Phones, Smartthings Camera, Smartthings LED Strip, Google home, Tablets, Smartwatches.

Problematic one is Smartthings Camera and Smartthings LED Strip. and TV from time to time.

No amber or any other light.

Also Don't have features turned on you listed.

No problem with router being hot.

It is just this two devices don't work well with this router.

Even on First initialization can't complete smartthings Camera initialization. Have to do it on phone's hotspot with Router Wifi name on it and then turn on Router and smartthings Camera connects to it.

Re: Netgear RAX120V2 Connection Drops and disconnected devices

Is Smart Connect enabled? Try both modes.
Try disabling AX mode.

Try channel 1 and 40.

Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s). Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Make contact with the mfr of those devices that are having problems connecting since other devices are working with the router.
