I don't think it it supported yet. Your best bet is to contact NETGEAR and do a request.

What firmware version are you on?

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

Wondering if you downgraded the FW to v1.0.3.88 to see if it's there would help you. Possible it's broke in current versions of FW.

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

Maybe different location but on the R9000 seen here, its located under Advanced tab/Internet menu option at the bottom:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NETGEAR/comments/1368ap8/issue_with_netgear_nighthawk_wifi/

Only other place to try a look for this maybe under Advanced tab/Advanced settings maybe.

If not seen anywhere on current version of FW, might roll back to was was suggested and see.

Might have to contact NG support for help on this.

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

On the R9000 as noted above, the option is at the bottom of the page AND you have to scroll to the bottom of the inset window to see the field.

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

Does this router actually output wifi6 or does it use the 5g channel for wifi6. As nothing shows as WiFi 6. Got my ps5 that doesn't show. I have ax enabled

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

WiFi6 = AX mode on 5Ghz

WiFi6E = AX mode on 6Ghz

Does the PS support AX modes on 5Ghz? Something to ask Sony about.

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

The only thing I can see that's not working is ipv6. As anyone got any ideas. I've got it set to dhcp but it won't get the ipv6 address

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

Contact the ISP for IPv6 configuration requirements. They should know. You may have to use one of the other configurations.

In the Advanced -> Advanced Setup -> IPv6 tab, have you enabled IPv6?

When this happened to me on a different router. I took the IPv6 setting through "Auto detect".

  • Advanced
  • Advanced Setup
  • IPv6

That found the ISP's implementation.

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

There could be some details in the configuration of your ONT.  In particular if it takes twenty minutes to boot like you previously mentioned.

On your RAX80 configuration for IPv6, if Pass Through is one of your options you should give it a try.  Also Fixed would be worth a test.  Would need to reboot your router after the change.

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

Only took twenty minutes of turning the ont off when I initially plugged ont into the netgear. It boots instant now from reboots. Cheers I'll try these settings tomorrow

Re: Netgear rax80 option 61

Been through all the ipv6 settings and auto detect changes it to 6x4 channel and it sets a IPV6 address to the router but fails to work still odd

I've noticed aswell as I read somewhere if I delete the option 61 identifier and put it as a option 60 identifier the ipv6 will work.

But it doesn't but the internet still works

So now I ask what's the difference between option 60 and option 61 should one be used over the other or should both be filled in?

Sorry to go on lol

If you have not done so, recommend you go check out the discussions here:  https://helpforum.sky.com/

There are a significant number of posts about users replacing the sky hub with a third party router.
