RAX80

My ISP has a 192.168.1.254 IPv4 and this new router is running at 10.0.0.1 for its IPv4. I tried to reset the IPv4 to a 192.168.1 scheme using a smaller subnet mask but the router config bounced. Is there a way to reset the IPv4 address range in the DHCP table to use a small subnet of 255.255.255.240 rather than the current 255.255.255.0? I want to use a different IPv4 address with my usable IP's at 192.168.1.1 to .15 if possible. Is there something I can change in the router DHCP config to accomplish this?

Hello todonal,

Would you mind letting me know if you have more than 1 router connected to each other.

Thanks,

Re: RAX80

This Nighthawk is running thru an ISP gateway from AT&T using the IP address I mentioned in my original post. I turned off all wifi functions in the ISP gateway. I believe I might know the answer to my question but if someone cares to offer something I will compare to my solution and see if we agree.

Re: RAX80

Hello todonal,

Please try setting the gateway to modem mode only to see if your issue persists.

Re: RAX80

I fixed it. I tried to set up the AT&T gateway to config this RAX80 as a Cascade Router with the new IP and subnet but it didn't want to cooperate. I am good now. Thank you
