Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Spectrum EU2251 Firmware 2.76.2
Channels are set to Auto
Near by Spectrum nothing close by
Reset was done. Rebooted after setup.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
Does the router reboot if the WAN cable is not connected to the modem?
Might try downgrading FW to v24 and see if this continues or not. IF so, I would presume the router is faulty.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
Right now I'm waiting to see if any changes happen after I did a total system reboot after everything was setup. It only reboots a few times a day since I installed it yesterday. I also have a Netgear R7000 that acted the same way. We found a older verison of the firmware that solved the problem. If the reboot doesn't solve the problem then I'll try the channels.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
Good to hear. Hopefully this will be the fix. Possible that the other channel is congested with nieghboring signals and causing problems.
Please mark your thread as solved so others will know.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
Enjoy.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
Is there a way to see in the router or else where to see the channels being used and by who?

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
Most any wifi scanning or analytical app has features to see what wifi signals are being broadcast and what channesl they use. Most apps work best on pads vs phones.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
Thanks for all your help but the router started to reboot again. It's going back defective today. I set up my Netgear R7000. Any suggestions on a good high end wireless router.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
Darn, possible the unit was just bad from the get go.
Can try another 120 or maybe a RAX200. Any interest in a RAXE500? Something with 6Ghz support.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
Put a USB laptop fan under the router if you feel the router is getting too hot.
I keep one under any of my routers I have online 24/7.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
I've been using USB laptop fans since about 2012 under my routers. No issues and helps save router HW from heat damage over time. Cooler the HW runs the better.

Re: Rax 120-100NAS Reboot Problem
I am also having the same issues, and have already had Netgear replace the router once. The replacement does the same thing. The router reboots frequently soemtimes every 30 mionutes. I have noticed that the router reboots under heavy system load of +50% on the processor. The only way I have been able to lessen the issue is by turning off 2.4 Ghz WMM services. Unfortunately my 2.4 Ghz devices pay the price for that with slower throughput. I can't even view some security camera streams any longer because the bandwidth is so poor. I am within the time period to return the router. I'm hesitatnt to purchase the RAX200 because of the same issue. I may have to try another brand after 10 years of using NG.
