Upgrade from Orbi to AX12

Just purchased a AX series router. I was using a Orbi system (actually went back to until this is solved).

I set-up but my FireCube cannot see the 5G network. I have tried a lot of different set-ups with no connection.

As soon as I hooked up my old Orbi system (powered down AX system). The FireCube recognized and connected

to the 5G network perfectly. Please advise.

Re: Upgrade from Orbi to AX12

Amazon isn't the best at updating specs. A couple things you could try.

1. Disable AX. Its great for future proofing but only the S10 and 2x wireless cards support ax right now.

2. Disable/set your speeds down so you're not using 160hz wide channels. many devices don't support this and it can cause issues as it utilizes the dfs spectrum.

I have a rax200 and a fire cube and was able to connect it. Playing with settings and making sure your firmware is current can be key when dealing with draft AX devices. Its the cost we pay for buying devices for a specification that isn't nailed down yet.

What firmware are you on?

Re: Upgrade from Orbi to AX12

Broadcasting on 2.4 and 5 Ghz. It is right out of the box Region should be USA.

Just doesn't make sense that the FireCube can see my old router  but not the

new one. (5Ghz only, it sees the 2.4 just fine). I wil play around with different

settings. Luckly I am tech savy, but it still should just "work" out of the box.
