TL;DR - Ensure your device names have no illegal characters.
I was having trouble saving device names in the ORBI app on my iPhone/iPad, and here is what I discovered. Previous versions let you use some characters that the new version does not. So I had saved names like "RBS50 (Living Room)", but in the latest app, parentheses are not allowed, so when I would edit the name to something like "Satellite (Living Room)" the "Save" button would produce NO action. Really HORRIBLE UI Netgear. If you care. A proper UI would display an error indicating there were illegal characters.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi App product. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi App and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum.
